Random Thoughts I Had the Morning of Jan. 7th, 2021
Today is the morning after the January 6th riots.
I have a few thoughts.
There is a video of the police opening a gate letting the mob ascend towards the capitol. I do not know if the DC police did this or to be honest, what exactly they allowed or encouraged. I do know that largely white police forces throughout the country have (at the beat cop level)been sympathetic to factions that aggressively supported the “protest” leading up to yesterday’s chaos. I think it’s important a very public inquiry looks into the orders given that led to what appears to a very questionable tactical error.
I have heard a lot of racist accusations in connection with the lack of policing. and I get the difference between a federal and state, but a multi-ethnic group took over a building in Portland for weeks earlier this year. However, the following quote from OPB should be pointed out;
“As of Wednesday evening, at least 13 arrests had been made related to the insurrection at the Capitol. On Portland’s 100th night of consecutive protests on Sep. 5, police arrested 59.”
I have not combed through police records, but are Portland police that much better than DC or Secret Service?
Either through incompetence or malfeasance, the Police administration in DC deserve a deep dive by the FBI.
As almost every person you saw repeatedly running around the capital has been identified on social media, there is no reason for these treasonist terrorists to be walking FREELY among those of us who respect society and democracy.
Your tax dollars ($750BILLION OF THEM) go towards the Defense of the United States. Not sure how yesterday was allowed to happen. Oh, wait, yeah I do.
FOX News reported, “Antifa infiltrated a peaceful movement”. Listen, I know people will be upset, but it’s time Rupert Murdoch is brought in to the DOJ to “discuss” his level of culpability. Hoover had many undercover agents through infiltration and illegal wiretaps monitor groups with better intentions who promoted safer discourse than FOX NEWS.
Josh Howly incited violence and that’s illegal. Illegal acts have consequences. Or do they?
The state of Texas should be largely boycotted until Ted Cruz no longer represented the state and those corporations. WHOLE FOODS, EXXON, TEXICO, TESLA, PIZZA HUT, AT&T, DELL, AMERICA AIRLINES, SOUTHWEST AIRLINES, IHEART MEDIA, MOTEL 6, CHUCK E CHEESE, are a few notable brands I’ll be ignoring until that parasite steps down.
Most of all, Trump must be held accountable or we no longer live with law and order. If we as a country can’t point to his being brought down for his illegal activity we have nothing. Like generations past needed Al Capone, Bonny and Clyde or Ted Kaczynski brought to justice, we need the Donald to pay.
I wrote something a month ago about this going, “One of two ways”, and right now it’s clearly going the wrong way.
