TEXAS, WHAT THE F IS WRONG WITH YOU?
In my quest to find the worst person in American Politics I may have found my Holy Grail.
I was researching another piece and stumbled across this absolute gem of a civil servant.
KEN PAXTON is the current AG of Texas. He is also a 1 man crime spree with an indictment record comparable to a mob boss. Not indictments he’s gotten, indictments he has pending.
Most States Attorney General offices have a mandate to protect the citizens of the state, uphold the laws of the state and the like. But not Texas and not Ken.
Let’s start with his Felony indictments, shall we?
In 2015, a state grand jury indicted Paxton on three criminal charges: two counts of securities fraud (a first-degree felony) and one count of failing to register with state securities regulators (a third-degree felony). Paxton’s indictment marked the first such criminal indictment of a Texas Attorney General in thirty-two years.
I especially like it that Texas has avoided an AG being indicted in 32 years. Like, that is a track record to celebrate.
Since then, the sitting Attorney General has used and abused the system to delay, move and stall the prosecution. Last I heard he won his 3rd venue change moving it to his home county of Collins Texas. Where I’m certain he…
